Temperature Sensor
High-precision digital sensor with +/-0.3°C accuracy. Monitor temperatures indoors or in the garden to protect plants from cold drafts, frost, and heat stress.
Relative Humidity
The same AHT20 chip provides +/-2% RH accuracy. Know if your tropical plants need more humidity or if your succulents are too damp — indoors or on the patio.
Photodiode Light Sensor
Measures photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) in micromoles. Find the perfect spot for each plant — whether it's a windowsill indoors or a sunny garden bed.

Weeks of Battery Life
PlantSense uses a 90-minute deep-sleep cycle to maximize battery life. The ESP32 wakes, reads all sensors, transmits data over WiFi, then returns to sleep — drawing only microamps between readings.

WiFi Connectivity
PlantSense connects to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network to send sensor readings to the cloud. Bluetooth Low Energy is used for initial device provisioning and WiFi credential setup.

Water-Resistant Design
The electronics housing is sealed for splash resistance, and the capacitive probe uses no exposed metal. PlantSense handles everyday watering with ease. For best longevity, keep the electronics housing in covered areas away from direct rain or standing water.

PlantSense is built on ESPHome and natively integrates with Home Assistant for local-first smart home automation.
Home Assistant Native
PlantSense is automatically discovered by Home Assistant via the ESPHome integration. All sensor data — soil moisture, temperature, humidity, light, and battery — appears as native entities with proper device classes, ready for dashboards and automations.
