Troubleshooting
Connection Issues
- Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and you're near the sensor.
- Ensure you're connecting to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network (5 GHz is not supported).
- Restart the sensor by pressing the reset button on the side.
- If the sensor won't appear in PlantSense Connect, fully charge it via USB-C and try again.
- Remove and re-add the device in PlantSense Connect if problems persist.
Calibration
- PlantSense is factory-calibrated, but you can fine-tune per device via BLE commands in PlantSense Connect.
- Open PlantSense Connect, go to your device settings, and tap 'Calibrate' to start a Bluetooth calibration session.
- For moisture: place sensor in completely dry soil and tap 'Calibrate Dry', then in freshly watered soil and tap 'Calibrate Wet'.
- Calibration values are written directly to the device over BLE and persist across reboots.
- Temperature and humidity sensors do not require user calibration.
Battery & Charging
- Charge via the USB-C port on the top of the sensor.
- A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
- The LED blinks green while charging and turns solid green when full.
- If the battery drains quickly, ensure deep sleep is enabled in PlantSense Connect settings.
